Hoisting 5 gallon buckets of dirt and rock through my porch deck. I removed four 2x6's and built a support frame out of scrap wood which allows me enough space to lift the buckets about 8 to 10 feet to the existing deck. Sometimes the wire rope binds on itself as it coils up causing a jerkiness. As the wire rope is uncoiling, it may bind on itself and reverse its direction. But most of the time (90%) it's a smooth hoist up and down. Plenty of lift power and the hook device works well. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've removed 10 cu. yards of dirt and look forward to completing the job with this might hoist. James J. toolots.com
